Dear Parents/Guardians;

Happy New Year!  I hope that you and your family have enjoyed this holiday season.  Along with this joyous time come some unpleasant changes in our weather.  As we have already experienced, some of these weather-related circumstances (snow, ice, extreme temperatures/wind chill) may require a delay or cancellation of school.

Please note that the following reflects a change from past practice:

Ř      A delay will hereby mean a 2 hour delay.

Ř      In the event of a 2 hour delay, elementary school (C.M. Musser, Case Avenue, and West Hill) starting time will be 10:30 am.

Ř      In the event of a 2 hour delay, Middle/High School starting time will be 10:00 am.

Because conditions can change at a moment’s notice, please be reminded that the ultimate decision to send a child to school rests with the parent/guardian; however, if school is open or delayed, the District’s Attendance Policy will be in effect.

Rest assured that we will do all that is necessary to make the safest decision on behalf of our students and staff.
