 "Paws"itively Proud"
Case Avenue Honors First Responders on Patriot Day
At Case Avenue, "We are Here" - "We are Ready" - "We are Respectful" - "We are Safe".  On Patriot Day, September 11th, we added "We are Grateful" as students and staff came together to express our thanks to our community's first responders.  During the week prior to our Patriot Day events, students wrote personalized thank you notes to all first responders in the City of Sharon. On the morning of September 11th students toured a display of emergency vehicles and visited with representatives of the Sharon Police Department, Sharon Fire Department, McGonigles Ambulance Service, and the Salvation Army.  In the afternoon, our first responders were the guests of honor at an assembly thanking them for their service and memorializing the events of 9/11 that led to the creation of Patriot Day.  As a service project, students wore red, white and blue and contributed to a fund for the purchase of stuffed tiger toys that will be distributed to our first responders for use when serving children in crisis situations.

Our Family of Veterans
The hundreds of flags displayed in front of the Sharon Middle-High School, during the week of Veteran's Day, symbolize those individuals who have served our country.  Each flag also embodies the compassion and admiration our school community has for our soldiers who are part of "Our Family of Veterans."

  • Earth Day Change Drive

    earth day

As part of Earth Day, students in grades K-6 at Case Avenue Elementary will be taking part in a change drive challenge. All students are encouraged to bring loose change starting on Monday, April 25th to April 29th. Containers will be placed at the door of each classroom. Students are encouraged to place their money in other classroom containers, thus having a change war. The goal is to fill other classrooms containers with change. The classroom with the least amount of change wins! All of the money collected will benefit the Sharon Beautification Commission. This organization continues to take the lead in beautifying the City of Sharon. We appreciate your help with this cause!
