 "Paws"itively Proud"
Sharon Salutes
Our Family of Veterans
The hundreds of flags displayed in front of the Sharon Middle-High School, during the week of Veteran's Day, symbolize those individuals who have served our country.  Each flag also embodies the compassion and admiration our school community has for our soldiers who are part of "Our Family of Veterans."

Case Avenue Students Experiment at 9th Annual Science Exposition
Over 100 students recently experimented with science topics at the 9th annual science exposition. Each student worked independently to choose a topic, follow the scientific process, and present their project in front of judges from the community.  Students in 4th through 6th grade submitted topics in the category of plants and animals, forces and motion, and changes.  The following are the top 9 highest honor recipients:  Joey Fazzone, Ella Labbiento, and Madelynne Althouse in the category of Pants and Animals;  Eli Buck, Peyton Koss, and Emma Tidswell in the category of Forces and Motion; Gianna Labbiento, Ally Grande, and Kaley McMahon in the category of Changes.  Congratulations to these 9 finalists, the honorable mention finalists, and all the students who participated this year.

Students Experience Engineering with Robotics

The Sharon Tiger Techs Robotics Teams have been busy the past few month designing their robots and preparing research for competitions in the Pittsburgh region.  Comprised of 20 students in 5th-9th grades, the Tiger Techs have competed this season at Shady Side Academy, Sewickley Academy, Carnegie Robotics, and at La Roche College. The teams most recently competed at La Roche College and placed first in computer programming, first in strategy and innovation, and third and fourth with their robotic performance out of 65 teams.  The teams focus on the engineering process to solve their problems, conduct research to develop innovative solutions to problems, and work as a team to accomplish their goals. To read more about the robotics teams, please click on the Sharon Herald news article title:  Robotics in Motion.

    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, especially after changing diapers.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
    • Cough into your sleeve or a tissue.
    • Avoid kissing, hugging and sharing cups, eating utensils, etc. with people who are sick.
    • Disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as toys and doorknobs, especially if someone is sick.
